Basecamp Hotel - Zermatt

Sparkling clean and attentive staff offering good breakfast options.

Fairly clean place with breathtaking views and exceptionally nice location in the mountains. Central heating, a coffee/tea maker, and a work desk available in the guest room. The bathroom was fairly clean and the staff was very very helpful and knowledgeable. Location not far from train station, ski rental, restaurants and train station, and church. And just close to Walk of Climb.

Staying at Basecamp in Zermatt was an amazing experience, especially for the amazing views of the Matterhorn right from our room. The staff was engaging and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met. I loved the delicious breakfast options, including made-to-order eggs that fueled our days of skiing. The room we had was spacious, modern, and had a lovely decor reflecting mountain adventures. Reaching the hotel from the station could be tricky. We accidentally took a steeper route, made rolling luggage a hassle. Despite a few inconveniences, the charming climbing-themed decor and friendliness of the staff were great.

Price is a bit high. It is 20-minute walk from the train station. It is not very convenient if you have many luggages.

The downstairs areas felt outdated when compared to the more modern bedrooms, and the sound insulation was lacking. Lacking a minibar in the room was a missed opportunity for convenience.

I had a family room with a fine view of the Matterhorn. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices to fuel our adventures. The staff, especially Caroline, were really nice when my mom needed help. The room was spacious, clean, and comfy

The services were great, offered us great free Wi-Fi. Our room was fabulous and super convenient, had down pillows. The staff was very helpful, took good care of everyone. Location: the hotel was not far from hikes and the lifts, Close to restaurants, and rail station.

During our family trip to Zermatt, we stayed for 2 nights in a Family Room with Balcony, which was spacious and offered stunning views of the Matterhorn. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, including made-to-order eggs that the kids loved. One morning, as we enjoyed our meal, the lovely staff checked in on us to see if we needed anything, which added a personal touch. We appreciated the room's cleanliness and the cozy common area where we could unwind after a day of sightseeing.

High room prices could use a review for better alignment with expectations!!! WiFi performance needs significant improvement. Spotty connections made staying connected a challenge!!! Confusing room access arrangements created unnecessary stress upon arrival!!!
